Technology has made a massive difference to Deaf people’s lives. For instance Deaf people can now call an interpreter up on their phones for a video relay call. At major train stations, such as at London Waterloo, there are virtual boards announcing train departures.
There have been more Deaf performers being seen on television such as Strictly’s Rosie Ayling Ellis. And perhaps at your work you may have had Deaf Awareness Training. But there is still a long way to go.
